Senior Year Information

Dear Class of 2021 Senior Class:

We start off the new year,  I want to update you on senior events we are continuing to work on  into our journey to Graduation 2021!

It is still uncertain based on  governors orders whether we will be able to hold an in person graduation. However, let me reassure you that we are planning, at the present moment, our virtual graduation.  For our virtual ceremony we want the students showcased the most. We want students to be singing, saying the names and creating the virtual performances. The reading of the names is like an Olympian carrying in their country’s flag at the opening ceremonies. We want the students to be showcased. If you want to be involved in planning graduation and other senior events join the Students Activities Board.

Mr Janosch (Yearbook Coordinator) will be asking for pictures so that we can fill the graduation and yearbook with memories of your life now, and the years you spent at OHS.

The governor and mayor must allow a in person ceremony and if they do we will be ready with preparations as such.

Many students have asked about the prom. It has not been forgotten, but the same governmental rules apply as they do for graduation. We are following the guidelines given and let you know as soon as we know.

Sapphire and Diamond Packages:

Thank you to everyone who purchased the packages thus far.  There will be a final deadline if you still want one of these packages. The first deposit deadline is February 1st, 2021. We need to put the order in immediately following so we have enough time to get all the items in time and shipped.  I know not everyone will want merchandise, but I encourage you to think about it for your future memories and remembrance. Staff and students are working very hard to get things organized for you.

I absolutely know how many emails you all have.  Students, it is important that you please read and respond (as needed) to emails pertaining particularly to graduation.  Some ways to find Class of 2021 information are:

  •       Check the 2021 Google Classroom: Class Code: u22twqf·   Visit the daily announcements
  •       Go to the OHS webpage click on student life then seniors and voila all info is there for the senior class of 2021!

We all know how tremendously difficult 2020 has been. Seniors, I encourage you to get involved in activities and make suggestions for events.  I am listening.

Your class does excel, and will continue to do so if everyone comes together to make the last term the best it can be. In the Spring we will have more senior spirit days, Senior Spirit Week with one day focused just on the class of 2021, and we are working on having a friendly competitive activity/event with some of the other  grades and schools on the FJM Campus. Please email if you have any ideas for a Class of 2021 event.

I thank you all for your time and consideration to read these updates.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

To you and your entire family, I wish everyone health and happiness for 2021.

Happy New Year 2021!

Mrs. Morgan Belle
